The role requires individuals with a strong background as a retired scientist or equivalent, capable of guiding complex projects from development to testing and operationalization, and willing to work on a contractual, hybrid basis primarily from Bengaluru.

Individuals who have not retired from the specified government, PSU, research, or defence sectors, or who do not meet the minimum pay level (14 or above) at retirement, are not suitable for this position. Those lacking specific, in-depth expertise in missile systems (e.g., SAM technologies, Guidance & Navigation, RF Seeker, etc.) will find this role unsuitable. Candidates unwilling to commit to a temporary/contractual engagement or unable to fulfill the hybrid work model, including regular presence in Bengaluru, should not apply. The role is highly specialized, making it unsuitable for general engineering or IT graduates without the specific domain experience.
