- Option 1 (B.Tech./B.E. with M.Tech./M.E.): A B.Tech./B.E. in Metallurgical & Materials, Materials, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering, along with an M.Tech./M.E. in closely related fields. A minimum of 60% aggregate marks or 6.5 CGPA at both UG and PG levels for GEN/GEN-EWS/OBC-NCL candidates, and 55% aggregate marks or 6.0 CGPA for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
- Option 2 (B.Tech./B.E. Only): A B.Tech./B.E. in Metallurgical & Materials, Materials, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering. A minimum of 70% aggregate marks or 7.5 CGPA for GEN/GEN-EWS/OBC-NCL candidates, and 65% aggregate marks or 7.0 CGPA for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
- Option 3 (M.Sc. with M.Tech.): An M.Sc. in Materials Science/Nanoscience & Nanotechnology/Energy Materials, combined with an M.Tech. in Materials Science/Metallurgy/Nanoscience & Nanotechnology/Ceramic Engineering/Surface Engineering/Energy Materials. A minimum of 60% aggregate marks or 6.5 CGPA (GEN/GEN-EWS/OBC-NCL) or 55% aggregate marks or 6.0 CGPA (SC/ST/PwD) at both UG and PG levels.
- Option 4 (M.Sc. Only): An M.Sc. in Physics/Chemistry/Materials Science/Nanoscience & Nanotechnology/Ceramic Engineering/Surface Engineering/Energy Materials. A minimum of 60% aggregate marks or 6.5 CGPA (GEN/GEN-EWS/OBC-NCL) or 55% aggregate marks or 6.0 CGPA (SC/ST/PwD) at both UG and PG levels.
Desirable: Preference will be given to candidates who are qualified in GATE/UGC/CSIR/INSPIRE/NET or possess prior experience in coating fabrication and Hydrogen generation systems.
