Best-Fit Profile
This opportunity is ideal for science graduates, postgraduates in specific biological/social sciences, diploma holders in medical laboratory technology or ITI, and nursing graduates looking for temporary, project-based work within a central government research institution. Candidates with relevant experience in maternal and child health, community surveys, field work, laboratory work, or data entry are particularly well-suited. Those seeking to contribute to significant public health research projects, specifically on stillbirth reduction, will find this role fulfilling.
Important Considerations
Individuals seeking permanent government employment should not apply, as these are strictly temporary project positions with no claim for regularization. Candidates without the specified minimum educational qualifications or relevant experience will be disqualified. Those unable to attend the walk-in interview with all original documents on the scheduled date and time will not be considered. Aspirants looking for long-term career stability or a high-paying role might find the consolidated, temporary remuneration and tenure to be dealbreakers.
Career Impact
ICMR-NIHR is a prestigious national research institute under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. While the positions are temporary, working with ICMR offers valuable experience and exposure to cutting-edge public health research, enhancing one's profile significantly. The project's focus on reducing stillbirth addresses a critical public health issue, offering a chance to contribute to impactful work. This experience could be a stepping stone for future research or public health roles, although it does not guarantee permanent absorption into the institute.
