Best-Fit Profile
This role is ideal for medical and postgraduate professionals (MBBS/BVSc/BDS, or those with Postgraduate/Ph.D. in related fields like Pediatrics, Public Health, Epidemiology) possessing relevant research experience, particularly in clinical trial coordination. Candidates seeking temporary, project-based work within a prestigious medical research environment, with a focus on neonatology, will find this opportunity suitable. The position requires strong organizational skills, data quality assurance, and coordination abilities.
Important Considerations
Individuals seeking permanent government employment or long-term job stability should not apply, as this is a purely temporary, contract-based project position with an initial tenure of 6 months. Those without the specified medical degrees, postgraduate qualifications, or mandatory research experience for Project Research Scientist-II, or without the necessary postgraduate qualifications for Project Research Scientist-I, will not be suitable. Applicants unwilling to travel to other research sites or uncomfortable with the walk-in interview process should also reconsider.
Career Impact
Working with AIIMS Jodhpur on an ICMR-funded project offers significant prestige and valuable experience in medical research, enhancing one's profile in academic and clinical research circles. While the role itself is temporary and co-terminus with the project, the exposure to a multicentric randomized controlled trial and collaboration with leading institutions provides excellent professional development. It's a strong stepping stone for a career in research and public health, though it does not offer inherent long-term stability with the institution.
