Best-Fit Profile

This role is ideal for individuals holding a Master's degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Microbiology, or related fields, coupled with a minimum of two years of research and development experience in industrial, academic, or scientific organizations. Candidates with qualifications such as CSIR-UGC NET, ICAR NET, ICMR NET, or GATE are highly preferred and eligible for a higher emolument package. The position requires willingness for field visits, water sample collection/analysis, and proficiency in GIS and report preparation.

Important Considerations

Candidates seeking permanent government employment should note that these are purely temporary, project-based positions with no claim for regularization. Individuals without the essential Master's degree or the mandatory two years of relevant research experience, or those not comfortable with field work and temporary contractual engagement, should not apply. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

Career Impact

Working as a Project Associate-II at CSIR-NEERI, a prestigious national environmental engineering research institute, offers valuable exposure to significant national projects, such as the 'Inspection of Grossly Polluting Industries in River Ganga and Yamuna Basin.' While the role is temporary and project-specific, it provides an excellent opportunity to gain practical research experience, enhance scientific skills, and build a strong professional profile within the environmental science and engineering sector, which can be beneficial for future career advancement in research or government agencies.
