Job Analysis

AI-generated insights

Best-Fit Profile

This role is ideal for highly motivated postgraduate candidates with a strong academic background (M.Sc./M.Tech) in Physics, Astronomy, or Space Engineering, coupled with a valid GATE/CSIR-UGC NET or JEST score. Candidates with extensive coding experience (C, C++, Python, AI/ML) and prior exposure to astrophysical simulations or space-based data analysis will be highly suitable for this research-intensive position.

Important Considerations

Individuals lacking the specified postgraduate qualifications, without a valid national-level examination score (GATE/NET/JEST), or those not meeting the minimum 60% aggregate marks should not apply. Candidates seeking a permanent government position or an administrative role, rather than a time-bound research project, will find this role unsuitable.

Career Impact

Working as a Junior Research Fellow at an Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) on an ISRO-funded project offers significant prestige and excellent long-term growth potential in academic and research careers. It provides exposure to cutting-edge research in space science and AI, paving the way for potential PhD registration and future opportunities in premier research organizations.
