Educational Qualification

Eligibility criteria for Assistant Professor in the School of Computing and Electrical Engineering (SCEE) at IIT Mandi:
• Educational Qualification: Ph.D. in appropriate branch/discipline with First Class in preceding degrees and an excellent academic record throughout.
• CSE Domain Requirement: Candidates applying for Computer Science & Engineering should hold a B.Tech, M.Tech, and Ph.D. in Computer Science or closely related CSE domains.
• Experience: Fresh Ph.D. candidates are eligible for Assistant Professor Grade-II. Post-Ph.D. industrial, research, or teaching experience (excluding the Ph.D. period) will be credited for higher initial basic pay fixation up to Grade-I (Pay Level 12 with 3+ years experience).
• Preferred Research Areas: All areas of CSE, AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, Computer Vision, Robotics, Cyber Security, Theoretical Computer Science, Algorithms, Systems, Networks, Databases, Embedded Systems, High-Performance Computing, and Software Engineering.

Age Limit & Relaxations

Candidate's age should preferably be below 35 years for Assistant Professor positions. Standard age relaxations apply for SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/EWS/PwD candidates as per Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India guidelines.
