This recruitment is ideal for Indian medical professionals holding a Postgraduate Medical Degree (MD/MS/DNB/M.Ch./D.M or equivalent) in a relevant specialty, recognized by MCI or a State Medical Council. Candidates should be seeking a Senior Resident or CMO role in a government medical college setting and be prepared for a tenure-based appointment that may extend based on performance. Those with some professional/research experience post-PG, but who have not completed three years of Senior Residency, are particularly well-suited. The maximum age for applicants is 45 years, with relaxations for government servants and certain categories of women.

Individuals who have already completed three years of Senior Residency are explicitly ineligible for the Senior Resident posts. Foreign nationals are also not eligible. Candidates must be available for a walk-in interview and application submission on June 05, 2026, in Chandigarh, as applications will not be accepted via any other format or after the deadline. Those unwilling to work on a contractual/temporary basis should not apply, as these are tenure posts for 44 days, extendable until a regular incumbent joins.
