This role is ideal for M.Sc./M.Tech. graduates in Life Sciences or related biological science disciplines with at least 60% marks. Candidates must possess practical experience in virology, specifically with dengue virus, and proficiency in conducting experiments with small animals. Prior experience in molecular biology techniques such as flow cytometry, microscopy, western blot, and PCR assays is highly desirable. Candidates who have qualified national-level eligibility tests like NET, GATB, or GATE will be preferred.

Individuals without demonstrated practical experience in virus handling (especially dengue) and small animal experimentation should not apply. This is a project-based contractual position with a limited duration until February 2027, making it unsuitable for those seeking permanent government employment.

The Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB) is a reputable institution supported by the Department of Biotechnology (Govt. of India) and UNESCO, offering a distinguished platform for scientific research.
