Non Vocational Teacher Biology Senior

• Post Graduate Degree: A Post Graduate Degree in Zoology/Botany with at least 50% marks from a University in Kerala or an equivalent qualification. Candidates must have also obtained a B.Sc. with Zoology/Botany as a subsidiary subject from a University in Kerala or an equivalent recognized qualification.
• B.Ed. Degree: A B.Ed. Degree in the concerned subject, acquired after a regular course of study from a University in Kerala or an equivalent recognized qualification.
  • If B.Ed. in the concerned subject is not available, a B.Ed. Degree in the concerned faculty acquired after a regular course of study from any University in Kerala is acceptable.
  • If both above are not available, a B.Ed. Degree in any subject acquired after a regular course of study from any University in Kerala or an equivalent recognized qualification is acceptable.
• State Eligibility Test (SET): Must have passed the State Eligibility Test for Non-Vocational Teacher, conducted by the Government of Kerala or an authorized agency.
• Exemptions:
  • M.Ed. in the concerned subject from a University in Kerala exempts B.Ed. qualification.
  • Passing State Level Eligibility Test for College Lecturers or HSST, or National Eligibility Test / Junior Research Fellowship exempts SET.
  • Ph.D./M.Phil./M.Ed. in the concerned subject from a Kerala University (or equivalent recognized) exempts SET.
  • Candidates with Ph.D. Thesis and M.Phil. are exempted from SET as per UGC guidelines.
• Relaxation: 5% marks relaxation in Post Graduation is granted to SC/ST and Differently Abled candidates as per G.O.(Ms) No.288/15/Gl.Edn. Dated 13.11.15.

Candidates must be born on or before 01.01.2003. There is no upper age limit applicable for "By Transfer" recruitment.
