Best-Fit Profile

This role is ideal for engineering graduates (BE/B.Tech with GATE) or postgraduates (M.E/M.Tech) in Electrical, CSE, ECE, or EIE, especially those with research experience in Partial Discharge Monitoring, High Voltage Test Technique, or relevant programming/electronics. Candidates aspiring for the Senior Research Fellow position must have two years of research experience. It suits individuals looking for a project-specific contractual research opportunity at a national institute.

Important Considerations

Individuals seeking permanent government employment should not apply, as this is a purely contractual position for the duration of a specific project. Those without the specified engineering qualifications or relevant research experience (for SRF) will not be suitable. The role is for a single vacancy, which might not appeal to applicants looking for opportunities with numerous openings.

Career Impact

NIT Durgapur is a well-regarded national institution, offering a valuable platform for research experience under a Central Government-funded project. This position can significantly enhance academic and research credentials, especially for those pursuing higher studies or a career in research. However, it is a contractual role tied to a specific project, not a pathway to permanent employment within the institute.
