Best-Fit Profile

This role is ideal for highly motivated postgraduate candidates with M.E/M.Tech or M.Sc degrees in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Environmental Science, or related fields. Candidates with a valid NET/GATE score and prior research experience in wastewater treatment, particularly membrane-driven technologies, are strongly preferred. This position offers an excellent opportunity to pursue a PhD under the project, making it suitable for those committed to advanced academic research and a career in sustainable technology.

Important Considerations

Candidates without the specified postgraduate qualifications (M.E/M.Tech or M.Sc in relevant fields) or those unwilling to register for a PhD program under the project should not apply. Individuals seeking permanent employment or immediate absorption into the institute without a research-oriented career path may find this temporary project-based role unsuitable. Those whose research interests do not align with AI-Optimised Sustainable Treatment of Pharmaceutical Wastewater may also find this role less fulfilling.

Career Impact

NIT Durgapur is a National Institute of Technology, an institution of national importance, offering a strong academic and research environment. This project, funded by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation, Government of India, offers a platform for cutting-edge research in a critical environmental domain. While the position is temporary (3 years), it provides valuable research experience, a pathway to a PhD, and strong credentials for future academic or industrial R&D roles.
