The Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR) is an autonomous institution under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. It operates as a Deemed-to-be-University, dedicated to pursuing and promoting world-class scientific research and training at the frontiers of science and engineering.

Educational Qualification

Essential Qualification: Ph.D/MD/MS/MDS or an equivalent degree.
OR: Three years of experience in research, teaching, or design and development after completing MVSc/M.Pharm/M.E/M.Tech, along with at least one research paper in a Science Citation Index (SCI) Journal.
Desirable Qualification: Strong expertise in first-principles density-functional theory (DFT) calculations, including electronic-structure analysis, phonon and magnetization calculations, and experience with advanced workflows like EPW and related computational techniques.

Age Limit Details

The maximum age limit for applicants is 35 years. No age relaxation details are specified in the notification.

The remuneration for the Research Associate position will be fixed at one of the following levels based on experience: Rs. 46,800/-, Rs. 58,000/-, Rs. 61,000/-, or Rs. 67,000/- per month, plus admissible House Rent Allowance (HRA).
