The Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IITG) is one of India's premier public technical universities. Established by the Government of India, it is recognized as an Institution of National Importance, dedicated to excellence in engineering, science, and research.

Educational Qualification

Option 1: M.Tech. in Signal/Imaging Processing or an equivalent qualification.
Option 2: B.Tech. in Electronics, Electrical, or Computer Science, selected through a national eligibility process such as:
- National Eligibility Test (CSIR-UGC NET) including lectureship (Assistant Professorship).
- Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE).
- National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their agencies (e.g., DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IT, IISc, IISER, NISER, etc.).
Candidates applying via the B.Tech. route must also possess 2 years of experience in the development of digital signal/image processing algorithms.

The post offers a consolidated pay of Rs. 42,000 per month. Additionally, HRA of 20% is provided. Medical facilities are also available as per institutional norms. The appointment is for a duration of 9 months.
