- A Master's degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) in a relevant/allied subject from an Indian or accredited foreign university.
- Besides the above, candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or CSIR, or a similar test (SLET/SET), OR have been awarded a Ph.D. degree as per UGC Regulations, 2009 or 2016.
