Selection will be based on a Written Examination and a Skill Test, conducted in two phases:

• Phase 01: Written Examination (100 Marks)
  • Consists of 50 multiple-choice questions for a total of 100 marks.
  • Subjects include Hindi, English, Computer Knowledge, General Knowledge, and Chhattisgarhi (dialect)/Local Language.
  • There will be no negative marking.
  • Candidates will be called for Phase 02 (Skill Test) in a 1:15 ratio based on merit in the written examination.
• Phase 02: Skill Test (Typing Test)
  • Document verification/scrutiny will be conducted before or after the skill test.
  • The skill test will comprise Hindi passage typing (250 words in 10 minutes) and English passage typing (300 words in 10 minutes) on Ubuntu Linux.
  • For every error (including heading, bold, paragraph, and formatting), 1/5th mark will be deducted.

• Phase 02: Aptitude Test (50 Marks)
  • Document verification/scrutiny will be conducted before or after the aptitude test.
  • The aptitude test will be for 50 marks.

Notifications regarding the written examination, skill test, and aptitude test (date, time, and venue) will be uploaded separately on the office's website (https://surguja.dcourts.gov.in). No separate admit cards/call letters will be sent by post.

• Candidates must submit their application in the prescribed format (available on the official website) along with self-attested copies of required documents.
• The completely filled application form must be placed in a sealed envelope, clearly superscribed with 'Application for appointment to the post of Assistant Grade-3/Peon'.
• Applications must be deposited in the drop box kept at the office of the Principal District and Sessions Judge, Surguja (Ambikapur), Chhattisgarh, by 05:00 PM on 2026-08-13.
• Applications received via Registered Post, Speed Post, Courier, E-mail, or Fax will not be accepted.
• Applicants applying for more than one post must submit separate applications in separate envelopes for each post.
• The application form must be filled using a blue ball/dot pen.
• A recent passport-size colored photograph, duly attested, must be affixed on the application form.
• Required documents include proof of birth date, educational qualifications, caste certificate, permanent residence certificate, employment exchange registration certificate (if applicable), and disability certificate (if applicable).
